About We Rock the Spectrum Bellaire
David Pomerantz, a Texas native, has been married to his spouse, Julie, also a Texas native, for almost 38 years. They have two married children and two grandsons. David and Julie have resided in Houston since 1988. David has served as a board member for a variety of non-profits including a summer camp in Wimberley, Texas, and for his congregation for over 30 years. Most recently, he served in executive leadership for The Center for Pursuit, a non-profit serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Julie serves as an Admissions Director for a very special school, The HUB Houston (Heard, Understood, Believed in), which provides custom-tailored education for students grades 8-12, most of whom are on the Autism Spectrum. The HUB also runs a post high school day program, Life 101, which assists young adults in finding meaningful work; several HUB members have created successful businesses that they manage with their families.
David and Julie’s daughter, Erin, is a Lifeskills Teacher for Neurodiverse children in grades 1 – 5, and her husband, Stephen, is a Geotechnical Engineer. Their son, Jonathan, is a Project Engineer for Chevron, and his spouse, Lacey, serves as the Autism & Severe Needs Specialist for the Cherry Creek School District. So the Pomerantz family’s immersion in the special needs community is truly all in the family!
David has a broad and diverse background in business serving as CFO and COO for businesses from manufacturing, to business services, to online retail. In his free time, he enjoys dogs, water sports, learning, cars, mixed martial arts, weightlifting, and yoga.
